Tiger’s Eye is a member of the Quartz family that is mined all over the world, and most prevalent in South Africa and Thailand. The stone is easily recognizable for its chatoyancy, or cat’s eye banding, when polished. Traditionally the Tiger’s Eye Gemstone was carried as a protective amulet against the forces of evil. It was said to ward off curses and to keep the wearer safe from ill-wishes. Tiger’s Eye is most known as a brown banded stone, but can also be found in black, red, blue, green, and rainbow colors.

It is said this stone aids us in making our own decision rather that just reacting to outside influences and empowers us to be more responsible for ourselves.
